I believe healing happens best in spaces where you feel safe, understood, and not rushed. At Northlight Counseling, I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer make sense—but still feel hard to change. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and deeply self-aware, yet find themselves struggling with anxiety, trauma, attachment wounds, or nervous system overwhelm. My approach is grounded, relational, and trauma-informed. I draw from modalities such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic-based practices to help clients reconnect with themselves in ways that feel steady and sustainable. Rather than pushing for quick fixes, we move at a pace that honors your system and your story.I see therapy as a collaborative process. You don’t need to perform, explain everything perfectly, or be “ready” in a certain way. My role is to offer a steady presence, thoughtful guidance, and a space where all parts of you are welcome. If you’re looking for therapy that feels attuned, respectful, and deeply human, you’re in the right place.
Calie Adams, LCSW

About Calie
I started my social work career in 2003 at Wasatch Behavioral Health. I worked with youth and families in crisis as a case manager for 11 years. I then transitioned to working with adults in the Utah County Jail and with the unhoused and substance abuse population. I graduated in 2023 from the University of Utah with a Masters in Social Work and have been working with adults doing individual therapy since that time. I obtained my LCSW in April 2025 and am so lucky to be able to open my own practice.
I have a deep compassion for people. I am uniquely positioned from the experiences I've had in my life to have the privilege of walking with others on their healing journeys. I believe we all have the capacity for healing, which is a very individualized process. I love what I do and am privileged to do it!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I love animals and have two cats. I have a lot of interests including Yoga, dance, Tai Chi, traveling, art, and nature.
