Northlight Counseling, PLLC respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect through this website and how we use it. It is separate from our Notice of Privacy Practices, which governs protected health information for clients.
What we collect. If you fill in a form on this site, we receive the name, email address, phone number and message you choose to give us. Our website host, Wix, also collects standard analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser type and referring site. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
How we use it. We use what you send to respond to your enquiry, schedule a consultation and keep a record of our correspondence. We use analytics only to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
This website is not a secure channel for health information. Please do not include clinical details, diagnoses or anything you consider sensitive in a website form or an email. Once you are a client, use the secure client portal for anything confidential.
Scheduling and the client portal. Appointment scheduling runs through SimplePractice, a separate HIPAA-compliant platform with its own privacy policy. Information you enter there is governed by that policy and by our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Cookies. This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, plus analytics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
How long we keep it. Website enquiries that do not become client records are kept only as long as needed to respond, and are then deleted. Client records are governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices and by Utah and Washington law.
Your choices. You can ask us what website information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@northlightcounselingutah.com or call 385-582-9559.
Children. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes. If this policy changes we will post the updated version here with a new date.
